Happy Holidays!

The Interplasp team wish you a wonderful Holiday Season and a New Year full of health, happiness and prosperity.

Our environmental policy

In Interplasp we have always considered necessary to make every effort to preserve the environment, being especially sensitive with the health of our workers and with the preservation of the environment that surrounds our facilities. Thanks to VPF technology we have managed to guarantee sustainability without sacrificing production capacity.

The VPF system makes the manufacturing process in an encapsulated form, within a completely closed tunnel. The gases generated during foaming are cleaned by active carbon filters before being released into the atmosphere. The fact of not emitting methylene chloride and CO2 benefits both the environment and the health of our staff.

What are the uses of polyurethane foam?

Polyurethane foam (PU foam) is a very versatile material. Its open and elastic cell structures make it very resistant to oxidation and aging, especially if compared to rubber or latex foams. According to the additives and the manufacturing systems used, very different characteristics and foams for very different uses can be achieved.

Thanks to its diversity, it’s present in all aspects of daily life. In order to compare the different foams we usually use the density, but it only serves as a comparative element when we’re talking about foams with the same composition. Their uses are multiple; In some we look for the longest possible, in others the cheapest price, in others the breathability, the insulation capacity, the ease of profiling or shaping, the lightness, the rigidity, etc. The sectors that most use this raw material are:

  • Rest area: in mattresses as main filling or as part of quilts.
  • Furniture sector: in seats of sofas and chairs, padded fillers, etc.
  • Construction sector: as thermal insulation, acoustic absorbent, etc.
  • Automotive sector: in dashboards, seats, etc.
  • In many toys, sponges, shoes, pillows, clothing, packaging and in general all kind of fillings and quilting.

The 5 Interplasp product ranges

The polyurethane foam has become essential for relaxation and comfort of all of us. Thanks to its extraordinary properties it makes products that lead it in its composition or structure provide us comfort, safety and welfare. In Interplasp we took almost three decades making and researching new varieties and applications of this valuable raw material. The constant development has allowed us to have five ranges:

  • CONTACT PLUS – conventional foams which can be produced in different qualities and densities.
  • CONTACT BIO – foams that contain natural raw materials of plant origin, extracted from the farm.
  • CONTACT HR – high range foams characterized by a high resilience and durability. They have a slight open cell structure which ensures perfect transpiration and elasticity, being optimal for the rest sector.
  • CONTACT BS – foams subjected to tests of fire behavior and have fire retardant properties.
  • CONTACT DREAM – high quality foams with viscous feel that distribute weight evenly and provide a sense of weightlessness.
